Strategic Planning

Canadian Religious Stewardship has extensive experience assisting Religious Institutes in creating and implementing realistic strategic, operational and legacy plans.  CRS can lead or guide Religious through a discernment process, assist with implementation and help keep participants on track.

Governance

Canadian Religious Stewardship provides a wide variety of evidence-based, best practice governance services.

Consulting

Canadian Religious Stewardship provides consulting services for all sizes of Religious Institutes.  CRS has assisted with the sale of property, the purchase of cars, change management, operational reviews, and the transfer of property to archives to name a few.

Ecclesiastical Temporal Goods

Canadian Religious Stewardship can manage and safeguard ecclesiastical temporal goods and assure administration in accordance with canon and civil law.

CRS also accepts ownership of ecclesiastical temporal goods when a Religious Congregation wishes to divest itself of property.

Operations & Administration

Canadian Religious Stewardship assists numerous congregations in the management and oversight of their day to day operations.  Our flexible and collaborative approach allows for custom made solutions.  Some of these include: CRS hiring staff on behalf of the Religious Institute, CRS providing its own staff to the Religious Institute, CRS retaining consultants on contract, or CRS arranging for staff from an existing facility to provide service to the Religious Institute.

Communications 

Canadian Religious Stewardship is able to provide a full range of bilingual communications services including: group facilitation, discernment and reflection, web development and special event planning.

Human Resources Management

Canadian Religious Stewardship has certified human resource professionals (CHRP/CHRL), and Certified Executive Coaches (CEC) recognized by the International Coaching Association.

CRS provides a wide range of human resource services including:  assessing requirements, developing job descriptions, recruitment, selection, compensation, evaluation, professional coaching and mentoring, policies and procedures, management, training and development.

Health Care

Canadian Religious Stewardship can arrange for all levels of health care support for Religious.  We pay close attention to each unique and evolving situation.  CRS has Health Care Navigators, Companions and has contractual arrangements with health care service providers.

Finance

Canadian Religious Stewardship has experts in all areas of finance including budgets, accounting, audits, and trends analysis.  In addition, there is the CRS Fiera Ethical Investment Fund and the Foundation of Canadian Catholic Congregations.

Legal Services 

Canadian Religious Stewardship works with a variety of Civil and Canon Lawyers with extensive experience and expertise in Religious Life.  We regularly work with lawyers from different provinces and territories who have pre-existing relationships with Religious Institutes.
